Abstract (EN)

With the changes in the understanding of management, the approach towards the concept of performance valuation has also changed. Especially in an environment of tough competition, the determining factor has become the employee and as a result the importance of the system has increased. The system intended to increase the performance of the employee has also increased the achivement of management as generally as generally considered, as well as maintain the success of individual. Thus, it is important for employee to adopt the system.In the survey, the reletionship between motivation of employees and performance evaluation is tried to be determined in terms of municipial employees. With this aim, consisting of 58 questions the public survey is applied to 171 people working at Metropolitan and local municipality. The data attained is tested by using Frequency distribution, ? 2, Mann ? Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis analysis according to the SPSS 12 programe.According to the survey results there is a significative relation between performance evaluation and motivation for municipal employees. It is seen there is a difference according to sex and working period whereas the ages and status of the employees does not affect their perspective on performance evaluation.Key Words: Performance Evaluation, Motivation, Municipial, Local Management.
