Thelegislation of 1954 dated, 6326. numbered petroleum law became the point of itsadventue in Turkey.The petroleum law which contains ?liberal? arrangements is dependenton some changes that can heavily be statist or free market according toconjucturel developments.This thesis study consists of introductions three jeparate parts andconclusion. In the first part of the thesis; the abstract information about theposition of petroleum both in Turkey and in world, its reserves and its place oneconomyAt the second part; 6326. numbered Petroleum Law, the evolutions ofTurk Petroleum Law and the developments on the petroleum activities arementioned. İn this part; an information about the change period on thepetroleum law, a national petroleum. Association Turkey Petroleum Shorecompany (TPAO) and Petroleum Works General Administration (PİGM) whichis a regulative associaton an the petroleum matter is given.At the third part; underground petroleum activities are handled, in thisframe, the decision process about the petroleum rigth and petroleum search arementioned.In the Conclusion part; the decision mechanism about the petroleum inTurkey public sector in which important changes are lived on the area ofpetroleum law and petroleum activity is evaluated and conclusions are made.Key Words: 1) Patrol Law, 2) Energy, 3) Administration and Patrol,4) Products of Patrol, 5) Petroleum in Energy
