Abstract (EN)

Energy is an important input for the continuity of life since the history of humanity. With the oil energy that entered our lives towards the end of the 19th century, the national and international policies of the states were shaped around energy. Oil, which has been in our lives for nearly two centuries, will be a power that determines the world agenda in the near future, since its alternative is not possible in every field. In this study, the effect of oil on important turning points from the past to the present has been determined in the framework of petropolitics. In addition, it has been tried to determine how petropolitics affects Saudi Arabia - United States relations. A literature review was conducted throughout the study. As a result, it has been observed that the relations and policies of the two countries are shaped according to oil.
