Abstract (EN)

Sustainability and environmental protection policies have a vital place in landscape designs in this century, which is faced with problems such as changing lifestyles, increasing population, protecting resource values, and adapting to deteriorating environmental conditions. There, sustainability in landscape projects has been a planning stage. Biomimicry, which is one of these design approaches means using the nature as a source of inspiration and imitation the functional basis of biological forms, processes, and systems in order to produce sustainable solutions. Within the scope of this study, the result of the analysis Studies of Düzlerçamı Recreation Area, where landscape design was made twice before, the weak points of the area were determined and biologist were interviewed, and a landscape design study was prepared with the biomimicry approach Landscape design applications made in the study were presented to the views of 400 participants by conducting a survey and the results were evaluated. Frequency, percentage, Cronbach Alpha, Chi-Square, KR-20, Fisher Exact Probability analyses were performed within the scope of the survey data. Based on the results of this analysis, biomimicry-based design proposals were accepted by the survey participants as a minimum of 80.8% and a maximum of 91.3%. This result can be interpreted that the landscape design based on biomimicry can be preferred by the users.
