Abstract (EN)
In this study, α-glucosidase inhibitory properties, antioxidant ectivities and free radical scavenging activities of benzimidazole derivatives containing piperazine ring was investigated. IC50value of compound 12 showing the best inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase enzyme was found 2,340 ± µg/mL. Also, Km and Vmax values of compound 12 were calculated as 1,031 mg/mL and 153,846 U/mL, respectively. CUPRAC and FRAP methods were used for antioxidant activity determination. TEAC values of compounds were calculated to be in the range of 2,378±0,059 - 3,529±0,035mM Trolox /mg compound. FRAP values of compounds were determined as mM FeSO4.7H2O / mg compound. DPPH and ABTS methods were used for determination of free radical scavenging activities of the compounds. The compounds were found to exhibit good DPPH radical scavenging activity at final concentrations of 800, 200 and 50 µg/mL.
