Abstract (EN)
The heterocyclic compounds found in many pharmaceuticals marketed today along with their versatile and unique physicochemical properties have become the cornerstones of medical chemistry. Among these compounds, pyrimidine is a big deal. In addition to being involved in the structure of DNA and RNA, pyrimidines are used as drug substance for many drugs. Because of that, in this study ten new pyrimidine derivatives including acylthiourea group were synthesized from 2,3-furandione compound. Structures of synthesized target compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C NMR methods and anticancer properties were investigated by interdisciplinary studies.
