Abstract (EN)

In the present, a scale named "A Scale For Evaluation of Motivation in Piano Education" has been prepared in accordance with the principles guiding scale formation, for use in piano education and in other fields if desired, in order to determine the level of motivation of adults receiving piano education, and to determine authentic and pseudo parts of such motivation, to measure their perception level deemed adequate by the experts. The scale is intended for adults who received piano educaiton at least for a period of one year. The scale is an indirect self-evaluating scale. There exists no time limitation for its implementation. There are a total of 39 inquiry items in the scale formed in Likert type. The scale has been applied among a total of 44 students receiving education in the Departments of Teacher Training in Music afiliated to Gazi University and İnönü University. In the development of scale, most of the validity-reliability steps in the scale development have been applied and subjected to a number of statistical procedures. Consequently, the scale has been found, to a considerable extent, to be valid and reliable in the determination of the success of the student. The study includes information on the results the study and propositions supporting such results. Key Words : Motivation, Scale, Piano Education
