Abstract (EN)

The current research examined the antioxidant capacity of plasma and erythrocytes in diabetic patients to healthy controls. Diabetes patients aged 25-65 and healthy volunteers of the same age were each given a blood sample, which totaled (90). These patients were seen at Azadi Teaching Hospital in Kirkuk, Iraq, from July to December 2021. In the present study, patients' total protein, albumin, and Alb/Glob ratios were significantly lower (P 0.05) than in the control group. Compared to the control group, patients' globulin concentrations increased significantly (P0.05). The data demonstrate a substantial (P0.05) increase in thiol, Thiol Protein, and amino group concentrations in patients compared to controls. Otherwise, the carbonyl group concentration in patients is non-significant (P0.05) compared to controls. Finally, compared to the control group, patients' Hb concentrations were significantly (P0.05) lower. Results shows the average emission auto-fluorescence spectra of various sample patients from 340 nm to 630 nm.
