Abstract (EN)
Study contains definition of reactive power, why necessity, its damages and how it can be compensation. This project contains 5 sections. In the first part definition of the reactive power and some kind of compensations exists. The second part contains reactive power that affects voltage levels and adjustment of voltage. The third part contains STATİC VAR COMPENSATİON (SVC) that is launched with the development of new technology the next part contains compansation calculation. Finally the fifth part contains harmonics that affects power systems and reactive power.
