Abstract (EN)

In this study, synthesis, characterization and ER properties of polyindene (PIN)and polyindene/kaolin (PIN/kaolin) conducting composites were carried out bychemical polymerization. In the experiments, FeCl3 was used as oxidizing agentand the ratio of salt:monomer was 3:1. First, polyindene was synthesized andobtained with 98% yield. Then, PIN/Kaolin composites containing differentamount of PIN were synthesized. The homopolymer ve composites preparedwere charecterized by four-probe technique, FTIR spectroscopythermogravimetric (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)analyses, scanning elektron microscopy (SEM) and dynamic light scattering(DLS) methods. Süspansions of PIN and PIN/kaolin composites were preparedin insulating silicone oil, at a series of concentrations ( c = 5-25%, wt/wt). Theeffects of concentration, shear rate, electric field strenght, frequency andtemperature onto ER activities of süspansions were investigated. The dielectricproperties of homopolymer and composites were determined.
