Abstract (EN)

Production cost, cutting efficiency, segment wear and cutting forces are all affected by the sechoices. In this study, apparatus and machines used for cutting natural stones, performances of diamond cutting disc which is used forcutting on basis of light concrete production are theoreticallyandempirically analyzed. For the experiments, four different light concrete samples and five diamond segment compositions which are used in the industry were used. First, optimum cutting parameters are acquired through varioustrials and analytical approach foreach concrete. In the variation and performance experiments; cutting times, tangential and normal cutting forces, power consumption and specificenergy levels are acquired. Besidesthatwearrates of diamond segments are measured by laser measuring system. Types of matrix wear are identified by SEM. Matrix contents of the diamond segments are identified by EDX analyzes and hardness is gauged by micro hardness tests. Schmidt hardness test is applied to the concrete blocks. Contents of the concrete blocks are identified by XRF method.
