Abstract (EN)

The Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential Evaluation of Posterior Semicircular Canal Paroxysmal Benign Positional Vertigo Patients Posterior semicircular canal bening proximal positional vertigo (PSK-BPPV) is the most common form of peripheral vertigo does not drug treatment that require treatment. PSK-BPPV is a peripheral vestibular disorder characterized by short-term rotatory sudden dizziness episodes that occur when the head position changes according to gravity. It can be seen at any age. It is the most common disease in women between the ages of 40-70 years. Dix-Hallpike maneuver is applied for PSK-BPPV diagnosis. The vestibular evaluation methods routinely used in the clinics evaluate the semicircular channels. The Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) test provides information from the saccule and the inferior sinus to the brainstem level. The PSK bulb and the filaments originating from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae combine to form the inferior vestibular sinus. The VEMP test evaluates the vestibulo-cholic reflex along with the sagittal function and vestibular nerve of the otolithic organs. This study included 60 individuals diagnosed with PSK-BPPV ranging in age from 30 to 60 years (3 age groups, 10 women and 10 men in each group) and 60 healthy individuals without any systemic or systemic disease. Latencies were examined by looking at vestibular stimulated myogenic potentials of PSK-BPPV and healthy individuals and it was investigated whether there was any difference between PSK-BPPV individuals and healthy individuals. As a result of the investigation, We found that regular value of cVEMP latencies and amplitude who is the individuals healthy. We didn't find differences between P and N values according to sex for healthy individuals,on the other hand, we were determined to differences age and gender in interpeak amplitude's values.The continuation normative data obtained from a healthy person who patient had a PSK- BPPV We compare other's patient had to cVEMP value.We reach the information about P-wave latency is high and N-wave latency is not a significant different with statical who patient had PSK-BPPV.We are thinking about the cVEMP test is alternative for consideration of vestibular system and diagnosis of PSK-BPPV so as to patient.
