Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of our study was Yang et al. Positive and Negative Rumination Scale developed by Turkish in patients with Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and in the healthy population validity reliability work is done. Material and Method: Study The study was conducted in a sample of 390 people, including 92 patients with Major Depressive Disorder, 102 AnxietyDisorders, 85 patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and 111 healthy individuals, who agreed to participate in the study. Sociodemographic data form, Positive and Negative Rumination Scale, Ruminative Thought Style Questionnaire,The Cognitive Triad Inventory, Life Orientation Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale, Beck depression İnventory, Beck Anxiety Scale, Yale-Brown Obsession-Compulsion Scale were applied. Results: The five-dimensional structure was confirmed by first-level confirmatory factor analysis of the Positive and Negative Rumination Scale. Secondlevel confirmatory factor analysis was performed to show that the dimensions of enjoying happiness and positive coping were under the positive rumination dimension of the Positive and Negative Rumination Scale and that the dimensions of negative association, suppression of happiness, and self-denial were under the negative rumination dimension. In the reliability study of the scale dimensions, it was shown that the internal consistency was high. (Cronbach's alpha coefficients for positive rumination 0.814, Enjoying Happiness 0.836, Positive Coping 0.565, negative rumination 0.878, Happiness suppression 0.695, Negative Attribution 0.851, SelfRejection 0.756) The item-total score correlation coefficients of the scale were found to be between 0.304 and 0.794. It was determined that the factor loading values for the scale items were higher than 0.30 and the error variances were 0.90 and below. According to the discriminant function analysis, it was found to be effective in separating the diagnosis group from the healthy control group. Conclusion: The Turkish version of the Positive and Negative Rumination Scale was shown to be reliable and valid.
