Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, a novel Schiff base derivatives ligands and their palladium complexes have been synthesized and characterized via spectral (FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR) techniques. Single crystal X-ray diffraction spectroscopy has been used to determine the structure of suitable crystals. The synthesized complexes used as precursor to preparation of metallic nanoparticles on support material. Mesoporous silica derivative Santa Barbara Amorphous-15 (SBA-15) have been used as support material due to high surface area, high chemical and thermal stability. ICP-OES, XRD, TEM and FE-SEM have been used to characterize the morphology of SBA-15 supported metallic nanoparticles. The results have been showed that highly dispersed palladium nanoparticles obtained on SBA-15 with %2-%8 metal loading. The catalytic efficiency of obtained SBA-15 supported palladium nanoparticles have been tested over Suzuki- Miyaura reactions and the conversions monitored by gas chromatography (GC). The effect of electron-donating and electron-withdrawing group on aryl halides has been also investigated.
