Abstract (EN)
The skin, the largest organ of the human body, undergoes aging due to both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Among these, ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight is the most significant external contributor. The formation of fine lines and wrinkles resulting from sun exposure, known as photoaging, occurs independently of chronological aging. In this thesis, novel cosmetic carrier systems were developed incorporating bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (Tinosorb® S), a broad-spectrum UV filter effective against both UVA and UVB radiation. Polymeric nanoparticles (PNP) and nanostructured lipid carriers (NLC) were formulated and subsequently incorporated into gel-based systems using Carbopol® 996. The physicochemical characteristics of the particulate systems and gel formulations were thoroughly evaluated. As a result, stable and effective cosmetic carrier systems were successfully developed, offering potential to enhance active ingredient stability and minimize adverse effects.
