Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, weight minimization of wing spar that consists of laminated composite structure without causing failure in case of different ply stacking sequence is represented. Herein, ply thickness and ply orientation are selected as optimization variables and lightening of structure is provided by choosing the minimum total thickness of plies in progressive failure analysis. This study is implemented by using two methods. Firstly, Tsai-Wu Index is calculated for different ply thicknesses and ply orientations by design of experiment method. Secondly, in NSGA-II method, minimization of total thickness of plies and Von Mises stress is provided by using different ply orientation.
