Abstract (TR)

Research on the structural behavior of confined glass fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (GFRSCC) in tubes as composite member is rare. Similarly, there is limited research on the use of glass fiber in such structural concrete. In this thesis, two scientific programs have been described in detail. To the first program, an experimental study was introduced to evaluate the behavior of GFRSCC. To this hope, a total of 15 fiber reinforced mixtures were designed at various nano silica contents. They were tested for the fresh and mechanical performances. The second phase of this thesis was interested in the structural performance of steel tubular column infilled with GFRSCC. For this, the engineering properties of the column were numerically investigated by considering three different diameter to wall thickness ratios and steel yield strengths. The experimental results on core concrete strength were employed to assess the performance of the columns in accordance to Eurocode 4, ACI, AIJ and DL/T codes. A total of 1080 different cases on the column strength were evaluated. It was concluded that the designed GFRSCC had satisfactory engineering performance. Additionally, the present numerical study showed that the codes predicted a proper capacity for the composite columns integrated GFRSCC.
