Abstract (TR)
Bu tezde, teorik ve ampirik olarak, protesto tehdidi altında kutuplaşmanın medya özgürlüğünü nasıl etkilediği incelenmektedir. Protesto global oyun olarak modellenmekte ve protestonun engellenmesi için yönetici, kendi açısından maliyeti olan medya sansürüne başvurmaktadır. Bu ortamda, kutuplaşmadaki yükselişin medya sansürünü artırdığını gösteriyoruz. İki farklı kutuplaşma ölçütü ve protesto verisi kullanarak modelin ana sonucunu doğrulayan yön gösterici ampirik kanıtlar sunuyoruz.
