Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine how employees' psychological capital components affect their social loafing behaviours. For this purpose, data were collected from 415 white-collar workers employed in the Aegean region via survey. The survey form used consists of expressions for determining the demographic structure of the participants and expressions for two scales used to measure research variables. In the research, correlation and regression analysis were performed to determine the relationship between psychological capital and its components and social loafing. To determine the psychological capital levels of the participants, the psychological capital scale developed by Luthans et al. (2007) and adapted to our language by Çetin and Basım (2012) was used. In order to determine the social loafing levels of the participants, the scale measuring one's own social loafing developed by Mulvey and Klein (1998) and adapted to our language by Gök and Koca (2016) was used. As a result of the analyzes made, it was determined that the validity and reliability values of both scales were appropriate. According to the results of the research, it was found that psychological capital and its components are in a negative and significant relationship with social loafing. In addition, another finding of the research is that psychological capital and its components negatively affect social loafing.
