Abstract (EN)

CdxZn(1-x)O thin films were obtained onto glass substrates by spray pyrolysis technique. In this study, the influence of increased ZnO concentration in CdO films on the structural, electrical and optical properties was investigated. By using the x-ray diffraction spectra of the films, it is shown that CdxZn(1-x)O films are polycrystalline, and contains both hexagonal and cubic phases. The material have exhibited direct band gap characteristics with the band gap values lying in the range between 2.20-3.25 eV. Ohmic conduction was observed from the I-V characteristics of all the films. The effect of the annealing on the optical, electrical and structural properties of the films were studied. Trap levels of the ZnO and Cd0.59ZnO0.41O films were determined by using the TSC measurements.
