Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, chitosan nanofibers were produced using electrospinning technology. Two auxiliary materials, polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene oxide, were used to obtain chitosan nanofibers. A comprehensive analysis of chitosan nanofibers produced with theauxiliary materials was performed. Viscosity, electrical conductivity and surface tension tests were performed for chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan/polyethylene oxide different polymeric mixtures. Obtained nanofibers were evaluated with FESEM, FTIR, XRD tests and statistical ANOVA tests were performed to determine the most suitable nanofiber achived. Antibacterial activity of nanofiber samples against Staphylococcus aureus as Gram positive organism and Klebsiella pneumoniae as Gram negative organism was investigated by using disk diffusion method.
