Abstract (EN)

Medina, one of Islam's three holy cities, was formerly known as Yathrib and became a center of transformation and change with the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) migration. Geographically, Medina is an important city located in the Hejaz region of the Arabian Peninsula. This study is based on the transcription, and evaluation of the entire Ankara manuscript of Abdullah Eyyûbî's "Miftâhu Saâdeti'l-Medîne". Abdullah Eyyûbî is the person who made the first abridged translation of Semhûdî's Vefâü'l-Vefâ bi-Ahbâri Dâri'l-Mustafâ. He lived in the Eyüp district of Istanbul between the 18th and 19th centuries and studied under the prominent scholars of his time. Abdullah Eyyûbî developed himself in both religious and rational sciences. The education he received led him to teach and serve in important state institutions. As one of the Reîsülkurras of the 19th century, Abdullah Eyyûbî dedicated his entire life to knowledge. In his work titled Miftâhu Saâdeti'l-Medîne, he discusses the names of Medina, the virtues of Medina, the first inhabitants of Medina, including the Amâlika, Jewish, Aws, and Khazraj tribes, the construction of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the structures within it, and the renovation and expansion activities it underwent. He also mentions the houses, social areas, valleys, mountains, and wells surrounding Medina, the members of Ahl al-Bayt buried in Al-Baqi' Cemetery, the mosques where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prayed, and the rules and behaviors to be observed in Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Rawda al-Mutahhara, and other places associated with the Prophet (peace be upon him).
