Abstract (EN)
With the current state of today's job market, it is becoming increasingly difficult for individuals to differentiate themselves from competitors. Personal branding and self-efficacy are important tools for job seekers as they help define their strongest attributes and sell themselves to companies. The influence of emotional intelligence on career development is expected to become stronger if the individual or employee has sufficient confidence and has been able to build a strong brand for him/herself. This study is necessarily conducted to explore the relationships between personal branding, self-efficacy, and the moderating role of emotional intelligence, and career development of public sector employees in Mali. Primary data was collected from 358 public sector employees in Bamako, Mali through an online questionnaire, and both Structural Equation Modeling and Regression analysis in SPSS 26 were used for data analysis. The results suggested that personal branding and self-efficacy positively influence the career success of the public sector workers in Bamako, Mali. It is also identified that emotional intelligence moderates the relationship between personal branding and career development. Additionally, emotional intelligence, attenuate the association between self-efficacy and the career development of public sector employees in Bamako, Mali.
