Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of titanium dioxide nanoparticle (TiO2NP) on essential oil contents and some morphological features in the leaves of Reyhan (Ocimum basilicum L.) plant were investigated. Particles smaller than 100 nanometers are generally referred to as nanoparticles. Titanium (Ti) is the ninth most abundant element on earth. Earth's crust is widely distributed. TiO2 is a white pigment and is most widely used because of its brilliance and very high refractive index. Plants are constantly exposed to natural NPs in different ways; therefore the relationship between plants and nanomaterials is very old. In the current study, three different concentrations of TiO2NP (0.1 mM, 0.01 mM and 0.001 mM) were applied to basil plant. Leaf width, leaf length and plant height were measured. Again, biochemical analyzes and essential oil content analyzes were made in the dry leaf. According to the results obtained; It has been understood that TiO2NP has positive effects on the plant in general.
