External morphology of the eggs of species Rhynocoris punctiventris (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1846), Coronus contrarius Reuter, 1881 (Heteroptera: Reduviidae)

Abstract (EN)
In this study, chorionic fine structures of two species of Reduviidae (Diptera) were studied with scanning electron microscope (SEM). The eggs of two species belong to two genera are various in size and in shape. The egg of Rhynocoris punctiventris is elongated. Although the egg of Coronus contrarius is elongated, it has slightly concave and convex side. The eggs of both of the species have cap regions. In Rpunctiventris cap region is higher than that of the Ccontrarius. In both of the species, operculum is located in the cap. A micropylar opening is discernible in the middle of operculum of Ccontrarius, even though some aeromicropyles are scattered in the honeycomb cells of operculum of R.punctiventris. Egg bursters are membranous structures in both of the species.KeyWords :Heteroptera, Reduviidae, Egg, External morphology, SEM
