ABSTRACT RIEMANN BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM Ayşe Mutlu Derya M.S. in Mathematics Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Iossif V. Ostrovskii September, 2000 We study the Riemann boundary value problem with finite and infinite index. The basis of the solution of the problem with the finite index is tlie Flemclj- Sokhotski formula. The solution of the problem with infinite index depends not only on the Plemelj-Sokhotski formula but also on some results of the entire functions theory. Keywords: Cauchy type integral, Holder condition, Singular integral, Index, Verticity, Homogeneous Riemann boundary value problem, N on-homogeneous Riemann boundary value problem. m
