Abstract (EN)
Rushdiye schools have undergone various changes in structure in the historical process, as well as education and training status and courses in institutions have changed, too. The history course in these courses has been subject to this change. The opening of rushdiye and similar schools has created a need for history books in a simple and general property for the students. In order to solve this problem, as in other courses at the beginning, history textbooks has been prepared through translations from French. The dissemination of rushdiye has increased the need for textbooks and textbooks have been determined by the state. The situation forced the Turkısh historians to prepare understandable and systematic history books. At those times, in order to understand the content and functioning of history course, it's necessary to examine these books. In this sense, in 1876/1877 (H. 1293) Mr. Sami, Aziz, Şevki's history textbooks written to be read in rushdiye schools, it's important to understand the ideology of the period and to show the understanding of teaching history. The study consist of introduction three body parts and a conclusion part. In the introduction of the study dwells on the classical education institutions existing since the establisment of Ottoman Empire and appearing from the first innovation studies in education. The first part centers on the establisment of the rushdiye, historical development and characteristics. The second part that taught history lesson in rushdiye schools and textbooks. The third part deals with Mir'ât-ı Târih-i Osmânî. And in the conclusion part a general evaluation has been carried out about rushdiye schools, history lesson in rushdiye and Mir'ât-ı Târih-i Osmânî.
