Abstract (EN)

The main subject of the research titled "Reflection of Russia-Turkey relations to the press and academıc studıes ın the term of the Russian President Vladimir Putin (2012-2020)" is to examine the most important events in Russian-Turkish relations during the period of Vladimir Putin through the prism of press and academic research. In the last decade, Russia and Turkey have been going through a period of difficult and eventful relations. The main dynamic of Turkish-Russian relations is the ongoing geopolitical rivalry between the two countries in many strategic areas and in the areas of cooperation that have developed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. As a result of natural geopolitical interests, the interaction of the two countries, both regionally and globally, is different. The strengthening of many potential cooperation areas, especially energy, trade and tourism, initiated by the two countries, provided an important strategic and economic contribution to the parties. The exploitation of these areas by both Turkey and Russia depends on the management of geopolitical competition along with other cooperation opportunities.
