Abstract (EN)

In-service training gives the person the opportunity to do his/her job correctly, effectively and efficiently by providing the knowledge, skills and behavioral patterns that he/she should have in order to perform his/her job. Obtaining the necessary knowledge and skills ensures that the employee always fulfills his/her duty without the need for an audit. Thus, the quality of the work done increases and possible complaints from inside or outside the organization reduce or eliminate. It is possible to provide the qualifications that will be needed in the future to the personnel today, to prevent personnel shortages, to retain qualified personnel, to reduce and eliminate the risk of work accidents, with in-service training support. In addition, in-service training also shows its effect on the attitudes and behaviors of the personnel towards the job and the organization. The aim of this thesis is to measure the effect of in-service training perceptions on the work engagement and intentions to leave of health workers. For this purpose, a questionnaire has been created by making use of In-Service Training Perception Scale, Job Engagement Scale and Intention to Leave Scale. Through the created questionnaire, data have been collected from 258 people and the obtained data have been analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Correlation Coefficient Analysis methods. According to the results of the analysis, there are significant relationships between the perception of in-service training and job engagement and intention to leave, as well as between job engagement and intention to leave. Keywords: Health institutions, In-service training, Intention to leave, Work engagement.
