Abstract (EN)

Parallel to the recent changes in policies of financement of healthsystem in Turkey, the administrative portion of private sector tends toincrease while the number and depth of health investments rise as well.This study aims to attract attention on the benefits of using scientificmethods, to reveal the form of preliminary studies due to either thecorporation deals rapidly with the establishment period or builds the strategicplans for post-activity period at the timeline of initiation and to determine theamount and source of funds which will be needed by the corporation in caseof not to experience financial difficulties during the period of initiation andactivity.In the study, the system and financement of health through the Worldand Turkey; and the demographic and socioeconomic determinants of thesampled study area are investigated through the axis of the properties ofgeriatric age group.The importance of geriatric age group sampled in the study rises in ourcountry as does through the whole world. Either the increase of theproportion of geriatric population to the country population or the relationbetween the number of the geriatric population and the inadequency of thenumber and capacity of the corporations which obtain the special services forthis population are investigated and the economical consequences for servingthis age group are evaluated.The feasibility report for the establishment and administration of ahealth corporation which serves the sampled area and age group, is prepared,financial analyses are computed and fund needs are reported.vi
