Abstract (EN)
In the recent years, the use of stud welding applications increased gradually. However, academic studies related to stud welding are not sufficient. In this study, 5 mm diameter studs were welded on the 5 mm aluminum materials by capacitor discharge stud welding technique. The welding voltages were 100,130,150,180 and 200 V.The microstructure of stud weld metal and base metal interface were investigated and the effects of welding parameters on the weld metal were determined. Weld metal rate increased by increasing the welding current and decreasing stud diameter and hardness increasing when increase materials thicknes.
