Abstract (EN)
Although many studies had been done about stud welding from the beginning of 20th century especially in the second half period, the studies are limited in number. In this work, copper coated steel studs of 3 mm thickness are welded onto copper plates that have thicknesses of 3mm and 5mm by managing 100, 120, 150, 180, 200 voltages of Capacitor Discharged Stud Weld Device and consequently the joint strength and metallurgical structure of stud welds are investigated. Studs welded junction strength and hardness, the samples were examined micro-structures, such as tensile and bending tests were subjected to mechanical tests. As the results of tests are examined, an increase in spherical porosities and hardness values are observed depending to the increase in thickness of parts and welding voltage.Key Words :Stud Welding, micro structure, hardness, tensile, bending, stud
