Abstract (EN)

In 1933, the National Socialist German Workers Party come to power in Germany under the leadership of Adolf Hitler. Nazi ideology has been adopted as state idministration. İn the ideology adopted by Nazi Germany, anti-Nazi individuals and communities, especially Jews, were seen as a problem in the development and progress of Germany. The Jawish policy, which started in Germany after 1933 and continued in the occupied countries during the Second World War, reached an advenced level until the Jewish genocide. Thousands of people were sentenced to death by various methods. Extermination attempts were gathered in Nazi camps. The vulnerable children were the most affected by this process. In this thesis, how the Nazi propaganda's oppression on the Jewish people reached the level of massacre is described as a written and visual text, through the novel and movie "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" Written and visual texts of "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" used in the study were examined separately using discourse analysis method. Finally according to findings obtained from the analysis, the intertextuality of the novel and film is included.
