The effect of numeric techniques on moment photographs

The photograph, whether it is applied in daily works or for artistic purposes, with its widespread use, clearly announces that the present age is a visual age. In today?s technological conditions, to produce photographs having creative and effective properties, using of technical opportunities is not sufficient. The photograph is a technical language that is required to make seeing meaningful.In a thesis named ?The effect of numeric techniques on moment photographs?, in the first section titled ?Photograph techniques as an expression tool?, the technical development of photograph within historical process is researched and how the photograph is used as an expression tool is explained. Then, traditional system and numeric system techniques are mentioned and differences are determined. After the advantages resulting from development of technical opportunities on photograph are emphasized, the effects of computer program on photographic language are examined.In the second section of the thesis, titled ?Moment Photograph?, firstly the photograph kinds are studied and then, the importance and place of moment and time concepts in photograph are examined. In the last part of the second section, it is explained by examples that the moment photographs do not only consist of the technique but the aesthetic and reality are also important as in all other photograph kinds.In the last section of the study, the reasons of changing photograph perception and effect of ?moment ?photographs on human are examined. The content titled ?dance and human?, one of the subjects that reflect the ?moment photograph? concept in best way and leaves an effect on people, is also studied. Besides, in the last section of the thesis, works of the photograph artist Mehmet Çağlarer on dance photographs he reflects the technique, aesthetic and reality and the interview made with him are given. Additionally, the interview made with Prof. Güler Ertan who has successful works on this area is contained.
