Abstract (EN)
The Effects of N-Methyl-D-Aspartate Receptor Blokade During Last Maturation Period of Nervous System and Rearing Environment Interactions On The Anxiety-Related Behaviour In Adulthood In the present study, the role of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors during last maturation period in the effects of social and physical enviromental condition on the adulthood anxiety-behavior-related with novelty, open field, light and height. For this aim, in social and social isolated rats reared in physical barren and enrich conditions, the effects of MK-801 (between postnatal 20-30 days for 10 days, 0,25 mg/kg, twice daily, s.c.) on adult behaviors were evaluated by using an open field, light-dark box and elevated plus maze tests. In social conditions, physical enrichment and MK-801 (barren environment) decreased anxiety-related with novelty, height and light. In social conditions, physical enrichment attenuated anxiolytic effects of MK-801 in barren environmental conditions. Social isolation condition caused an increase in locomotor activity and decrease in novelty research and increase in fecal boli. In social isolation with barren environmental condition, MK-801 produced anxiolitic effects and decreased locomotor activity and novelty research. In social isolated rats, physical enrichment condition attenuated anxiolytic effects of MK-801 observed in barren enrironment. In conclusion, social and physical enrichment protect adulthood anxiety and novelty related emotional and behavioural abnormalities induced by early childhood NMDA receptor hypofunction.Key words: MK-801, NMDA receptor, Physical enrich environment, Rat, Social isolation
