Abstract (EN)
SDH Networks consist of optical connected elements spreading out wide area. Configuration, fault, performance, security and accounting management are performed with network management systems. To provide high quality service, it is essantial to ensure robust and reliable communication between network elements and management systems. Controling configuration of each network element and distributing new software updates to all network elements are performed by network management systems. Data Communication Network ensure the delivery of operating messages between management systems and SDH network elements. In this study, the requirements of robust, reliable DCN structure in SDH networks is determined and a novel DCN planning model is enhanced to plan a DCN structure satisfaying these requirements. Firstly, the general properties of network such as number of network elements and network protocol types supported by these elements are discussed. Then the DCN plan is generated by evaluating traffic link count, the topologic position and management load of each network elements.
