Abstract (EN)

Modeling of a Stand-Alone Solar-Wind Hybrid System The interest in renewable energy sources is increasing in recent years as fossil fuels are the resources to be exhausted and at the same time cause environmental pollution. The solar energy potential in our country and the wind energy potential in certain regions are very high. Since these sources depend on atmospheric conditions, the amount of energy produced is variable. Therefore, it is not possible to meet all energy needs of our country from renewable energy sources. However, it is very important to increase the share of energy produced by renewable energy sources in total energy production. In hybrid systems, the possibility of maintaining energy continuity is higher than in single systems. Especially in distances from the grid, due to the connection cost to the grid or due to the difficulty of grid connection due to natural conditions, the use of these systems has become widespread. In this study, the importance of hybrid systems with renewable energy was emphasized and a solar-wind hybrid system independent of the grid was modeled in MATLAB/Simulink and the results were examined. Cost analysis of the system was made and compared with the grid related system.
