Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it is aimed to investigate the mechanical behavior of lattice structures produced from AlSi10Mg alloy by selective laser melting with experimental tests. Compression tests were chosen to investigate the mechanical behavior. Additive manufacturing technology can be used to manufacture complex lattice structures that are difficult to produce with conventional manufacturing technologies. To investigate the deformation mechanisms and fracture behavior of the lattice structures made using AlSi10Mg by selective laser melting under compressive load, vertically supported face-centered cubic (FCCZ) and vertically supported body-centered cubic (BCCZ) cell topologies were chosen. FCCZ-BCCZ as well as by adding vertical struts to these structures, FCCZZ and BCCZZ novel structures were designed with three different strut diameters and then manufactured. Compression tests were performed on all produced lattice samples. The mechanical properties and collapse behavior of the lattice blocks under static load were investigated using these tests, and then the progressive failure modes were examined and compared. In addition, compressive strength were calculated fromstress-strain curves, and these calculated values were compared. According to the experimental findings, it has been found that relative density and cell topology are the most important parameters that determine the mechanical behavior of the lattice structures. Compressive strength of the FCCZ-FCCZZ samples was higher than the BCCZ-BCCZZ samples. In addition, FCCZZ which is our novel design lattice structure with 0.6 mm strut diameter was the structure in which the highest specific strength was obtained.
