Abstract (EN)

Thise experiment was carried out to determine the relationship between the anatomical structure of pear cultivars grafted on some selected quince rootstocks. In the trial, 34 Quince types were used. Their growth tendency can be classified as dwarf, semi dwarf and vigorous respectively. Compatible Beurre Hardy cultivar and incompatible Williams cultivar grafted on selected Quince rootstocs. Pear/quince graft union samples were taken from budding in 1st, 4th and 16th months. The studies on the anatomical structure of the graft union were determined by cross sections at 3 periods. With the anatomic studies the effect of abnormal tissue growth on graft combination, callus formation, necrotic layers amounts of pear/quince cambium, floem, ksilem and cortex tissues were determined. Key Words: Pear, Quince, Incompatibility, Campatibility II
