Abstract (EN)
The Maghreb region faced significant security challenges following the Arab Spring in 2011. This study analyzes Algeria's urgent response to the security issues emerging from the changes in the area.The research applies securitization theory to understand and address the emergence of security issues.The study examines the Algerian government's response to several challenges through the lens of securitization theory.This study examines how security issues are constructed and portrayed and how the audience is convinced of the necessity for extraordinary measures.The study also examines the outcomes of securitizing some issues, such as terrorism, migration, democratization, foreign intervention in neighboring countries, and the relationship between Algeria and Morocco.The researcher employs a qualitative methodology throughout the study, utilizing a case study approach that focuses on implementing securitization theory.This approach entails examining the process of analyzing security discourse, transforming an issue into a security issue, and constructing security
