Abstract (EN)

This study that takes place in city planning discipline, discusses the problem of ecological balance corruption as basic problem. The study is a qualitative research that focuses on the role of the discipline at the formation of the problem. Firstly, reasons of negative impacts on ecological balance, was analyzed in the context of economic value production mode of modernism and its social structure, which is being assumed the origin of the problem; and abstraction was being made. Then, relation of city planning-nature was investigated at paradigm level according to the abstraction was made. The knowledge that produced as a result of investigation was scrutinized within the content of planning and building practices in the Republic of Turkey. In this study, it has been decided to end up with new paradigm search that orients protection of ecological balance and to be an alternative to current paradigm level determined as the main reason of the problem. The parameters of natural area category have been introduced; and possible intervention scopes have been determined in city planning. As a result, in the frame of planning transition ethics that based on alternative-new paradigm which the study articulated in, a new planning stage aims to protect ecological balance has been suggested, within the context of Turkey Geography.
