Sel?nikli Akif Efendi?s life, literary character, and his divan

The Lord Akif from Selanik is a poet in divan literature who lived late 18th and at the beginning of 19th century. He was one of the last representatives of divan literature. There are five editions of his work of art divan that was his unique study. The number of poems are almost same for the editions those belong to National Library and Nation Library. In these editions the pages of poems are different and also there some other differences out of parts of ghazals.The Lord Aklif from Selanik is a successful poet for his ghazal and histories. The effect of Nedim is felt in his some poems written on love, wine and beautiful women. These features are seen in his lyric poems as well.
