Abstract (EN)

Suppliers set off on a quest of highly productive and low priced electrical motor in accordance with IEC' s decision that made with EU to increase efficiency of industrial motors. PMSM is highly productive but it is not cheap because of the valuable magnets in its rotors. Searches for both highly productive and budget friendly electrical motor lead suppliers to reluctance motors. SynRM, which has higher efficiency and torque density in comparison with induction motor, and its cheaper in comparison with PMSM, is a powerful alternative in synchronous reluctance motor industry. In this thesis, it is built a mathematical model of a synchronous reluctance motor on MATLAB which has almost the same structure and uses the same driver hardware as to induction motor and PMSM. It is analyzed the sensor- fitted vector control algorithm on this mathematical model. Afterwards, it is described, generally, the methods of sensorless speed control for synchronous reluctance motor and they are analyzed with the slope of motor current, and the difference of the slopes of motor currents.
