Abstract (EN)

The microstructure and mechanical properties of a hot rolled material have an important role even they may differ according to material's area of usage. To obtain the required mechanical properties and microstructure, the most efficient parameter is cooling. With the experiments that were performed in Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş., 4 different steel quality were chosen. For those different qualities distinct cooling parameters were determined and applied. The effect of these parameters on material's mechanical properties and microstructure were investigated. After cooling and coiling of the hot rolled material, the samples were taken in order to subject to mechanical tests and microstructural observation. It has been observed that changing the cooling parameters cause changes in the mechanical properties and microstructure of the steel.
