Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, we have measured reconstruction of the Au (111) surface on Si byscanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The STM observation were done in theconstant current mode at room temperature at a pressure below 2.10-10 mbar. All the STM images were taken at a tunneling current of 0,372 nA and a samplegap voltage of +0,421 V. Electrochemically etched Pt tips have been used for alltunneling experiments The observed atomic spacing of â 0,261 nm compareswell with the known gold interatomic distance of 0,288 nm.
