Abstract (EN)
The era of digital technology in our globalizing world is increasingly continuing to taking place in the lives of people. Ensuring the security of these systems is of great importance. Electrical, electronic systems, internet, intranet, knowledge, and information systems security and everything to do with all kinds of security measures are taken in this context, is referred to as cyber security.Cyber ??security is one of the areas covered by measurable psychological or behavioral traits that distinguish people and is used for identification. Biometric systems are becoming increasingly common. In particular, the use of automatic identification is important in the control of entry and exit. Today, Biometric face recognition systems are still hot topic. In this thesis, new approaches about face recognition are investigated and a face recognition approach is developed to achieve better results.Features are essential elements of object recognition. Therefore, to define a face in recognition process, it must be known what features are being used effectively. In this context, beside many approaches, SIFT algorithm is used to find unchanged features for face recognition. In this thesis, cyber security, biometric systems, and face recognition methods are investigated. SIFT, one of the methods used in the object matching, is tested in different ways and with different face data for the purpose of face recognition.
