Siber suç farkındalığının incelenmesi: İstanbul ili'nde bir araştırma

The aim of this research is to examine the perception of cybercrime awareness according to various variables. Descriptive survey model was used in the research. In the research, 466 people were reached with the convenience sampling method and a questionnaire was applied. It was deemed appropriate to use a questionnaire form in collecting the data. Within the scope of the questionnaire, it consists of questions about demographic information and Cybercrime Awareness Scale. Data analysis in the research was done with SPSS 21 package program. Descriptive statistics for cybercrime awareness were examined. Accordingly, the average score of all sub- dimensions and the total scale score is above 4. This shows that the participants have a high perception of cybercrime awareness in general. In the study, it was determined that the participants with higher education and income levels had higher perceptions of cybercrime awareness. In addition, as the frequency of shopping on the Internet and the frequency of using the Internet increase, the perception of cybercrime awareness of the participants increases. While individuals' frequent use of the internet enables them to have more information, it positively affects their perceptions of cybercrime awareness.
