Abstract (EN)
Increasing industrial needs and energy consumption due to the rapidly increasing world population have confronted humanity with problems such as climate change and environmental pollution. Thermoelectric technology has become one of the important solutions for the energy crisis, which is increasing its severity day by day, by converting waste heat energy into electrical energy, providing cleaner energy forms and contributing to the worldwide energy need. Disadvantages such as high cost and complex production techniques, rare element contents, toxic chemistries that pose a threat to the environment and low thermal resistance of widely used thermoelectric materials have made it necessary to develop easily accessible and low cost, high temperature thermoelectric materials. In this study, SiC-based samples with high thermal resistance and cost-effective TiC and TiB2 three-dimensional segregated network were produced by spark plasma sintering technique. The effect of different volumetric ratios of TiC and TiB2 three- dimensional segregated networks on the temperature dependent thermoelectric properties of SiC was investigated.
