System reliability analysis and an application

Abstract (EN)

In view of today?s economic conditions, one of the serious factors which is effective on buying impulse is reliability. In such a case the producers want to define and develop the reliability of the product. Nonetheless, it is a critically important task to analyse the lifetimes of the hardware used in manufacturing process. Reliability concept has became an important component at the present day?s industrial emulation. In this study, reliability concepts are introduced and a system reliability application is included. First section represents concepts on reliability theory. In the second chapter, concerned statistical lifetime distribitions which are often used in applications are discussed. Following chapter includes two methods: Fault tree analysis and reliability block diagrams that are used to develop system reliability models. Life time analysis methods and an optimum replacement method for compenents are mentioned. One type of confidence interval techniqe for the parameter of statistical lifetime distributions is explained. Last chapter includes an application. A computer casing model is developed and explained. Reliability of the system was computed and the properties of the components are mentioned.
