Abstract (EN)

In this study, growth ratio according to von Bertantaffy by the following equations, length (KDU) ? weight (W), age-length and carapaks height-weight and the age determination by skeletochronological methods were investigated on Emys orbicularis of total Pazarağaç and Sinanpaşa region between July 2008 and August 2009.The age determination was estimated by the application of skeletochronological method on the phalange at all the samples belong to two population. On all four populations, a positive relation was observed between, Age-W, Age-KDU, KG-W. It has been established that males in Sinanpaşa population are bigger than the females in sizes in the same location and they are bigger than both males and females in Pazarağaç population. In respect to total-weight, Pazarağaç females are heavier than the others. According to these results, male and female samples of Afyonkarahisar population among 4-9 ages distribution were consist of individuals the oldest age mean, the longest total length, total weight. In all two populations, the age of sexual maturation was 4-5 and 5-6 ages for respectively males and females.
